Internet Marketing Technician

Job Summary


Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Internet Marketing Technician will champion the corporate web site content and design for the primary purpose of lead generation. The successful candidate will work with various business units, senior managers and other company stakeholders to help identify tactics to leverage web-based media to further the goals of each internal customer.

This person will have a keen interest and deep understanding of Internet marketing, current and emerging technologies, and will be able to analyze Web statics to derive meaningful knowledge to evolve lead generation tactics. Through the efforts of this person they will ensure DMTI Spatial is demonstrating a leadership role in B2B Internet Marketing practices and lead generation results.

  • Develops and executes effective Internet-based lead generation campaigns
  • Identifies, develops and executes Internet marketing initiatives to increase organic web traffic using SEO/SEM strategies to enhance the organization's profile and brand awareness.
  • Actively manages multiple PPC campaigns and all related analytics to ensure a positive ROI.
  • Works with other members of the Marketing team and owns all website content and copy to ensure it is effectively written and refreshed to advance campaign strategies and corporate goals.
  • Assists with lead scoring and support other aspects related lead management.
  • Works with vendors to support Internet and new media related projects
  • Accepts ad-hoc Marketing projects as required.


Skills & Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma/certificate, preferably in marketing or a technology related field.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize and work simultaneously on multiple projects to consistently meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and results-driven with the ability to operate in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent written (copyrighting) and verbal communication skills and able to elicit feedback to refine active project assets
  • Minimum of 2-3 years experience with SEO/SEM, Internet marketing and familiar with response measurements
  • Advanced expertise with PPC advertising, web analytics and campaign measurement
  • Experience with building landing pages to maximize conversion rates
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Web programming languages and software, including but not limited to HTML, ASP, JavaScript, Adobe     Dreamweaver, Flash, Photoshop.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
  • Proficiency and demonstrated creativity with banner ad creation
  • Proficiency in .NET (ASP.NET, C#) and XML preferred, but not essential
  • Experience with SalesForce (CRM) and Eloqua (Automated Demand Management) an asset but not a requirement
  • Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or web-based mapping (mash-ups) an asset but not a requirement
