Canadian Universities and Colleges have access to a broad range of geographic data products. The SMART program provides affordable access for learning institutions to support social science, research, business, health and environmental programs.
Canada's leading Location Intelligence Solution Provider, DMTI Spatial, announced its involvement with Canada's academic community in their efforts to provide over 40 Canadian Universities and Colleges with access to DMTI Spatial CanMap® Street map and routing data product line. Academia has been highly supportive and appreciative of DMTI Spatial and their efforts to liberate access to Canadian GIS data.
On May 28th, 2002, Grace Welch President of the Association of Canadian Map Libraries and Archives presented DMTI Spatial a Certificate of Appreciation in "recognition of their substantial and innovative contribution to the teaching and study of GIS in post-secondary institutions through the provision of affordable access to high-quality geospatial data".
As part of our program each subscribing institution receives an enterprise wide license to access the following suite of DMTI Spatial products.
